What to Look Out For in a Serious Skin Care Cleanser
While this article title is quite a mouthful, it brings up an important point. Skin cleaners are the foundation of all skin care products and any make up hand or man bag should not even exist without having one of these neatly tucked away next to the moisturizers and revitalizers. No one’s regiment of 20 minutes in front of the bathroom mirror should start or finish without some sort of skin cleansing. While its use may be quite basic, it lays the foundation of healthy skin and can hep in preventing a lot of potential problems that might appear with time. When you do buy one, remember one thing, there are millions of skin cleansers out there. Literally, so many companies, so many pharmaceuticals are getting on the skin cleaner bandwagon and are trying to sell their product to you.
You need to do a little research and some serious decision making when looking out for a serious skin care cleaner - one that is right for you. The one reason why people do use a skin care cleaner is to get rid of the dirt, grit and grime that builds up on our skin when we go to work, when we are at home and when we are in any sort of activity. It also removes some of the oiliness we might feel on our faces. This is because skin cleansers normally leverage on the healing, cooling and cleaning properties of natural ingredients like Aloe Vera and of course chamomile. Using such extracts ensures that the skin cleaner can be applied even to dry and sensitive skin types, even those who suffer from mild skin rashes or typical disorders like Chlamydia or eczema. Depending on what you want from your skin cleaner, there are many types out there.
The cheaper ones only remove surface dirt and marks that cling onto the follicles while some of them even do a more industrious work of removing light solids, microscopic dirt particles and even soils that have decided to set up tent. Also be careful when you do purchase a cleanser for your face, as some of these creams and clear lotions are designed to be used only on the hands or the general body. They may contain ingredients which can be harsh to the face so I would advise you to practice a bit of caution and read the labels carefully before making a purchasing decision. For women who are looking for a good make up and dirt cleaner for the face, make sure you find one that is acid free and contains glucosamine.
Not only does it act as a good cleaner, it also helps to remove dead and dying skin cells as well as moisturizes the skin - giving it a healthy and refreshed glow about it. Whether vitamin based or mineral based, there are many good cleaners out there. The trick is to find one that works for you and one that does more than cleanse - it has to rejuvenate and improve the skin; laying the foundation for healthier, happier skin for years to come. This is what you should look out in a serious skin care cleanser - because the topic of your skin’s health is a serious one indeed.

Oily Skin Care Checklist - is Your Skin an Oily Mess?
Be honest - are you one of those people who deals with oily skin care? It’s embarrassing to admit it to yourself, let alone others. In their minds, people often see oily skin as dirty and untouchable. Often, a person might be labeled lazy for having oily skin. It’s just a matter of washing your face, right?
No.
Oily skin is generally not the result of being unclean. Although there are people who don’t shower enough and have excess oil. Gross! No, it is usually caused by hereditary or hormonal things.
So, if either of your parents has oily skin, you’ll probably have it too. Hormonal changes also cause oily skin. Many teenagers deal with this problem everyday as their bodies grow into adulthood. Pregnant women and women close to their period also contend with oily skin care.
Anyway, bottom line is…you have oily skin. Are you expected to just live with it? No, you can look into oily skincare products. I’m sure you’ve at least browsed them already. Having oily skin is one of those things that few people just accept about themselves.
Oily skincare products are simple to understand. You want a product that will control the production of oil by the sebaceous glands. With less oil, your skin will finally glow like it should.
Now, you may think that your skin is oily because you’re not washing your face vigorously enough. All you have to do is scrub harder and longer and the oil will go away. Wrong. If you do this, your skin will only produce more oil as a defense.
Don’t ever be rough with your skin. Especially, facial skin.
Dermatologists often recommend products that cleanse thoroughly but gently. Look for products with a low pH level as these are the gentlest and most effective oil stoppers. An excellent product will remove excess oil, but keep your skin’s protective layer of fatty acids intact.
One favorite among dermatologists is Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHA). Exfoliating with AHA removes oil buildup. Research into AHA suggests that it may also help stimulate your skin’s natural moisturizers - hyaluronic acid and collagen.
With the right line of skin care products, you can end the curse of oily skin. Soap and powders don’t get to the root of problem. Actually, they make it worse. Instead, look for a skin care regimen designed to remove excess oil.

Im a guy with fair skin. How do i take care of the skin on my face?
The skin on my face is often very dry on my nose and on my cheeks and red. I have moderate to little acne, but really not too bad. How can i solve these skin problems without getting too gay on the skin-care products? The reason why i’m asking is because I get very embarresed with the dry skin because I can see flakes on my nose and I just want to change it.
LOL @ the gay thing. I hear you on this. My fiance’ and I have moderate acne and he’s in agreeance about not wanting to get too gay on the product.
So heres the deal: I make 100% botanical skin care products (he inspired me a long time ago) and what I do for my "mens" line is incorporate the acne-fighting properties into the shaving foam and manly soap wash so that way you don’t have to keep purchasing a fuckload of skin care products (which really does make a guy seem a tad fairyish IMHO)
I use 100% botanical extracts such as neem, tea tree, strawberry etc etc vitamin A and more which treat your skin when you shower and shave, and no need for anything more.

Skin Care for Thirties and Forties
When you reach your thirties, this is the time in your life when small lines and wrinkles begin to appear. As your metabolism slows and skin cell turnover rate decreases you start to get wrinkles beginning around the eyes. In addition, age spots and other discolorations will appear as a result of exposure to the sun’s rays. Skin care during this stage revolves around prevention of premature aging.
Keep at it
Maintain your daily skin care regimen that you began in your teens and twenties. Keep using your toner, moisturizer and cleanser. Keep in mind that your skin will change as you age and you may need to change your skin care products.Â
Get Rid of Dead Cells
Start using a glycolic exfoliation skin care product. Begin using it weekly and gradually increase the treatment up to three time a week. By using this product you will help the skin rebuild collagen and promote elastin production for improved elasticity and tone.
Chemical Peel
This is the time to consider getting a chemical peel from a skin care specialist. Or, try and get a facial on a monthly basis. Consult your dermatologist before either treatment to determine the best course for you to take. Face masks can often provide the same benefit. Ensure you choose a face mask developed for your skin type, eg. oily, dry, combination or neutral.
Sleep, Rest and Exercise
Take care of yourself during your thirties and forties.  Be sure to get plenty of sleep as your body rejuvenates during this time. Exercise regularly to keep your blood flowing as this helps remove impurities that can cause dull and sallow skin.
Stress
Avoid physical and mental stress. Stress can lead to sleepless nights, food binges, and alcohol binges and result in pale and pasty looking skin. Try to maintain a relaxed and calm demeanor at all times.
Skin Cancer
Now is the time to begin regular checkups for skin cancer.  This is especially true if you were a sun worshipper in your youth. Start making yearly appointments with your dermatologist for a skin cancer check. Or, if skin cancer runs in your family, check with your dermatologist regarding intervals between appointments.
Diet
Eat foods that are low in sugar. Choose foods that have the essential fatty acids (omega 3, 6 and 9) and proteins. Do not consume foods that contain caffeine and alcohol as these can cause skin irritation and inflammation.
By following these few basic skin care steps you can help prevent premature aging. In addition by treating your skin according to your skin type you can keep it looking healthy and vigorous.

Discover Anti Aging Natural Skin Care Products for Older Men
Let’s face it… men are slowly becoming more conscious about looking after their skin. After all none of use want to look old before our time and have lots of facial wrinkles.
The skin care market can be confusing because there is hundreds of anti aging natural skin care products available now. But, as the old saying goes, its quality not quantity that counts when selecting your next anti aging anti wrinkle cream.
Men and women’s skin is fundamentally the same. Many of the best anti aging skin care ingredients are found in both men’s and women’s skin creams. However, men have a couple of issues women don’t so they need some ingredients to address problems like razor rash, redness and inflammation, age spots and damage through general neglect.
When we talk about anti aging cream for men what do we really mean: To stop or reduce wrinkles? To add moisture to your skin? To help reduce redness and inflammation? To make it smoother, softer, and more youthful looking.
Most men would say all of the above and more! Yes, improvement is possible even for older men in there 50’s and 60’s. Unfortunately by then, wrinkles can be very deep and totally removing them is out of the question. However, improvements can be made using skin care products that generate new skin cells by producing more collagen and elastin growth.
Natural aging and exposure to UV-A sunrays is commonly thought to be the main reasons for skin aging and degradation causing a loss of collagen and elastin. However, two substances found in the best anti aging skin care creams can now stimulate both collagen and elastin regrowth.
Cynergy TKTM contains functional keratinTM proven in clinical trials to stimulate the regrowth of collagen, elastin and new skin cells. This ingredient is a breakthrough in anti aging skin care and not yet available in big name brand products.
Inflammation is more a men’s issue that can also be addressed with Cynergy TKTM. It can block the production of Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2), which is the cause of skin inflammation and redness.
Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10 a special nano-emulsion form of CoQ10. Which can penetrate down through seven layers of skin. It increases collagen and elastin production. It effectively can gobble up free radicals in your skin that results in a dramatic anti wrinkle effect.
Anti aging natural skin care products should also contain natural emollients and essential oils to moisturize and make your skin smoother, softer and younger looking. So, men if your looking for an anti aging skin care cream that actually makes a difference, visit my website below, and see for yourself.

Where to Look for All Natural Organic Skin Care
You might disagree, but hear me out on this. More and more people are shopping for all natural organic skin care solutions. There is no doubt that natural herbal skin care products are the best choice, but you cannot always trust that they are completely safe, for a number of reasons.
The terms that cosmetic companies use for naming their products, or for advertising purposes, are not well-regulated by government agencies. Manufacturers in the US are allowed to put products on the market, without testing them for safety.
The rules concerning all natural organic skin care creams are a little more stringent in Canada and the European Union, but the company has to be dedicated to providing safe and effective ingredients. They also have to pay attention to the latest research reports. Most of them do neither of those things.
Recently, a public group, supporting the use of more organic products, had a number of natural herbal skin care cleansers evaluated for safety. Specifically, they were looking for a chemical called 1, 4 Dioxane, a human cancer-causing agent, that forms during the manufacturing processes that most companies use.
They found that many of the supposedly all natural organic skin care cleansers contained it. It is possible for companies to manufacture cleansers, without creating this toxic byproduct. But, even when they use the right manufacturing processes, they should still have finished batches tested by an independent laboratory, to be sure that the cleanser is safe.
If you see a natural herbal skin care cream with an SPF (sunburn protection factor) rating, check the label of ingredients for oxybenzone or benzophenone. They are naturally occurring organics, but they were never fully tested for safety, despite the fact that they are derived from benzene, a known human carcinogen.
Over two years ago, researchers showed that the compounds damage DNA strands inside the cells, when they are exposed to UV rays from the sun. That makes them probable human “photocarcinogens”, a class of cancer-causing agents that are only dangerous when exposed to sunlight. The news seems ironic, sense sunscreens are supposed to help protect us from cancer. Despite the research, there are still many natural herbal skin care creams on the market that contain oxybenzone and/or benzophenone.
If you want a safe and effective all natural organic skin care cream, look for one with ingredients that are safe enough to eat. They may be processed slightly to make them easy to apply, so they might not appeal to “purists”.
But, unless you want to walk around with pulverized kelp on your face, a little processing is a good thing. Researchers have found that a specific kind of kelp (wakame) contains a compound called sulfated polyfucose. The compound provides some sunburn protection, without being hazardous to your health.
Wakame natural herbal skin care lotions also provide an anti-aging benefit. They inhibit enzymatic activity that breaks down one of the skin’s important amino acid complexes, namely hyaluronic acid. Hopefully, the information in this article will help you find all natural organic skin care solutions that are truly beneficial.

Best Acne Scar Removal Treatment and Acne Scar Skin Care
Suffering from acne is a bad enough experience but for many, they have to live with the acne scars left behind as well. The information here will be helpful for those seeking acne scar removal solutions.
Which is the best acne scar removal treatment? It is enough distress having had acne without having to go through life with acne scars that can have far more adverse effects on a person’s life.
It is a good idea to treat acne as early as possible instead of accepting it as part of growing up as delay in treatment can result in deep disfigurement and psychological damage.
Although it is usually teenagers who suffer from acne, many adults suffer from it too. And it is usually these adults whose skins have lost their elasticity and suppleness, and greatly reduced the natural ability to heal that acne scars remain.
The result is having acne scars that remain permanently on the skin. With society constantly emphasizing on good looks, this can cause extreme loss in self esteem and confidence.
Therefore, a multitude of acne scar skin care and beauty products are being constantly marketed in the billion-dollar beauty industry. Results may not be what is expected since with beauty treatments, many elements affect the outcome.
Promises of regaining your original flawless skin condition are to be taken with a great deal of salt. If you see a skin clinic that says it can restore your scarred face to its former glory, you should stay away from that clinic.
This is simply because it is impossible to have skin that is as good as before it was scarred. The best doctors can only do so much and let time do the rest of the healing. This is especially true for those with severe marks and scars.
What affects acne scar removal success?
There are many different types of acne scar removal treatments available today and you should do a thorough consultation, preferably with more than one doctor to ensure that you make the right decisions.
Different people will have different success rates after going through same procedures. Some people have more deep-seated scars, others have scars which are more difficult to deal with. The more fortunate ones may see great success after scar removal.
The patient’s health status is an important factor. Some people are just born with less healing abilities or poorer skin resulting in less chances of success. There is the belief that acne is hereditary, so if you are predisposed to having bad skin then there is little you can do about it.
You can try changing diets and lifestyle but if you are predisposed to having acne, or your skin has poor healing ability then it may not help. Again, if your skin responds to better diet and exercise, with proper acne scar skin care, you stand a chance to get rid of acne scars.
If all else fails, you should try and accept your condition and not let it ruin your life. Self confidence can be cultivated and joining a support group can be beneficial in many ways.

Im a guy with fair skin. How do i take care of the skin on my face?
The skin on my face is often very dry on my nose and cheeks and red. I have moderate to little acne, but really not too bad. How can i solve these skin problems without getting too gay on the skin-care products?
Don’t worry about what is "gay". No one has to know what you put on your skin, and no one will know unless you tell them. Don’t worry about it.
First, wash your face with something like Neutrogena oil-free acne wash. Then use something with Benzoyl Peroxide (On the Spot or Clearasil) - get something with 2.5%, not the Maximum strength if you have sensitive skin. After you apply the zit cream, use some non-comedogenic lotion, like Cetaphil, or find something that says "non-comedogenic" and also has sunscreen.
Collagen Skin Care Review – What Works, What Doesn’t and What Hurts
As we age our skin begins to develop fine lines and wrinkles. I have been researching collagen skin care products, and in my studies I find that starting at age 25, natural collagen levels begin to decrease and that is the reason why we get fine lines and wrinkles on our face and neck.
I’ve discovered some ways to get rid of these skin ailments. Some of what Iâve found sounds good and some sounds unsafe or just plain painful and some donât work at all. Below I will outline what Iâve learned about getting rid of fine lines and wrinkles.
Collagen Pills
What Iâve read tells me collagen pills are a waste of money if you are trying to get rid of your wrinkles. Taking collagen pills orally cannot reduce your wrinkles or prevent new ones from forming. In most cases the collagen is a chemical and your body has no use for it and it can actually be harming your health. My firm belief is if it is a chemical stay away from it. Go natural as often as you can and you will be on the safe side.
Collagen Treatments
Collagen treatments are carried out in a doctorâs office with a very fine needle. The needle part almost stopped me from even investigating this method further. I donât like needles, so if I can find some other way to do what I want accomplished I go for the other method, but to be fair to collagen treatments I did further research.
With collagen treatments a doctor injects cow collagen into your skin to help rid you of wrinkles. You can have an allergic reaction to the bovine collagen, so you must be tested for that first. When you get the injections you will experience âmild painâ. These injections last anywhere from 1-6 months, so they are certainly not permanent. One of the determining factors of how long they last is how much you smile or frown, so unless youâre one who never shows any emotion you better plan on needing to have injections quite often. Personally, I donât like this collagen skin care option at all.
Collagen Skin Care Creams That Contain Collagen
This sounded good at first, but further research tells me that the collagen molecule canât be absorbed into the skin, so this is a waste of money, unless all you want to do is moisturize those wrinkles. But when all is said and done the wrinkles and fine lines are still there.
Collagen Skin Care Cream That Stimulate The Body To Produce More Collagen
I like the sound of this one. It speaks volumes to me about using my own body to heal what is wrong with it. I believe that is how our body is suppose to work. God gave us bodies that will heal themselves if we give them the right natural ingredients to work with.
My research turned up collagen skin care products from a company in New Zealand with cutting edge ingredients like Cynergy TK and Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10 and Active Manuka Honey, that stimulates the body to produce more collagen giving your skin the natural substance it needs to help get rid of wrinkles and fine lines.
Now that you have the run down on collagen skin care choices, you can make up your own mind which ones you want to trust your face to. You may not mind the pain and having to go in for collagen treatments every month or so, or you may want to waste your money on collagen pills and collagen skin care cream that doesnât work. That is your choice, but for me I chose to go with the collagen skin care cream that works with my body to get rid of those wrinkles and fine lines. If that is the choice youâve chosen, check out my web site to find more information.

Microdermabrasion Secrets-safe Wrinkle Skin Care for Anti-aging
Â
Microdermabrasion and Micropeel⢠are two of the most common anti-aging skin care methods in use today. However there are a vast number of microdermabrasion machines available and only a very few produce an effective peel and a visible result. More importantly the machines used in a doctorâs office are allowed to be stronger and more effective than machines sold to a spa or salon. Technicians who do microdermabrasion and Micropeel⢠vary greatly in their skill and understanding of these techniques. Medical Aestheticians working in a physicianâs office are specially trained and experienced. The fact that they work under the supervision of a doctor allows more effective treatments to be done. Your result is very dependent on how your peel is done and how good the medical aesthetician and her machine are. Below I will discuss how Microdermabrasion and Micropeel⢠work, what they can achieve for you, the best machines, and how you can tell if you receive a good treatment.
Â
How Microdermabrasion Works
Â
Microdermabrasion is a deep exfoliation technique that removes dead and damaged skin cells from your face, neck and décolletage skin. After the treatment new fresh skin cells are revealed and the skin looks and feels smoother. Superficial skin pigment or brown spots will be lightened. Studies have shown that after repeated treatments fine wrinkles are improved, new collagen forms in the deeper skin layer called the dermis, and sun spots are gone or significantly lightened. There are significant facial rejuvenation and anti-aging skin care benefits:
Â
Benefits
Â
· Deep Exfoliation
Â
· Removal of Sun Damage
Â
· New Collagen Growth in Dermis
Â
· Fine Wrinkle Removal
Â
· Better Penetration of Retin A and Other Topical Agents
Â
Technique
Â
The technique uses a small glass tube with a hole on the side. A constant suction is passed through the tube by the machine and small sand like silica particles are passed through the glass tube by the machine.
Â
As the tube is passed over your skin, the suction pulls your skin up into the stream of rushing silica particles and the passing particles abrade or remove dead skin cells that are dry, damaged and pigmented. This is exfoliation.
Â
The Best Microdermabrasion Machines Are In a Doctorâs Office
Â
Companies that make these machines are only allowed to sell de-powered units to salons and spas. These weaker machines just are not effective. If you want to see effective results you need to have your treatment by an experienced medical aesthetician in a doctorâs office.
Â
We use the Megapeel⢠machine. Dermagenesis⢠is another good brand. Many machines just do not have enough power to provide adequate suction to abrade the skin.
Â
There have been many new chemical machines which do not use the silica particles, but my patients prefer the standard original method using suction and silica particles.
Â
How To Tell A If Youâve Had A Good Treatment
Â
· Your skin will be pink or red
Â
· Your skin will feel smooth
Â
· Your skin will be slightly irritated
Â
· You may have some skin peeling after a day or so
Â
Micropeelâ¢
Â
Micropeel⢠is a combination of dermaplaning (scraping dead and damaged skin cells off of the surface of your face with a scalpel) followed by the application of a dilute AHA (glycolic acid) solution to the skin. This is often called the âlunchtime peelâ because the Micropeel⢠can be done and you can usually return to work right after the peel. The Micropeel⢠provides both mechanical (dermaplaning) and chemical skin peeling.
Â
While this sounds more complex, the Micropeel⢠is a gentler lighter peel. We use the Micropeel⢠for:
Â
· Dry Skin
Â
· Sensitive Skin
Â
· Patients with Rosacea
Â
Salicylic Acid, which is stronger than dilute glycolic acid, can be used for an even deeper peel. When Salicylic Acid is used the technique is called Micropeel Plusâ¢.
Â
How Long Does A Treatment Take?
Â
These treatments take about 30 minutes.
Â
What Do These Treatments Cost?
Â
Effective treatments with better machines and proper technique are done in a doctorâs office by an experienced medical aesthetician. They will be more expensive than those done in a salon or spa.
Â
In Boston where I practice the following are typical costs:
Â
Micropeelâ¢-$70.00
Â
Microdermabrasion-$125.00
Â
Where Should I Have My Treatments Done?
Â
The benefits of having these treatments by a medical aesthetician in a doctorâs office are:
Â
· Medical Supervision
Â
· Stronger, More Effective Treatments
Â
· Access to Prescription Topical Medications
Â
· Proper Safe Management if You Have A Problem
Â
These are my favorite no down time non-surgical facial rejuvenation procedures. These deep exfoliation techniques plus topical Retin A and Vitamin C Serum are the foundation of anti-aging skin care for all of my patients. These techniques work, they are safe, effective and pleasant to experience. What could be a better way to start the anti-aging skin care process? It is never too early to start.
