What facewash and lotion should I use for my skin, which is somewhat oily and somewhat dry?

My face is kind of dry and kind of oily (combination skin you could say) and I need a good facewash and a good face lotion to help it. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

my face is exactly the same way. I use Neutrogena oil-free acne wash. it works really good. its like the best of both worlds. it doesnt dry my skin out at all and at the same time it doesnt leave it oily. heres a picture of the bottle if you want to find it.

My dermatologist recommended Cetaphil for washing my face, which works well. Neutragena soap also worked well (and smells better). I use a Neutragena moisturizer which contains sunblock and is non-comedogenic (i.e., it doesn't block the pores).

I like Burt's Bees, Alba & Jason's face washes and moisturizers. 100% Natural Shea Butter mixed with a little apricot or almond oil is good for dry skin. You can also make a face wash at home, like this one:

    Clear Skin Remedy

    Ingredients:

Besan which is also known as (Gram Flour)
    Fresh lemon juice
    Yogurt
    Turmeric powder (optional)

    Method:

Add 1-2 table spoons of gram flour in a small bowl or plate, then add 1-2 teaspoons of dairy yogurt, give it a mix until it creates a good thick paste, when paste is made add 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, also add just a pinch of turmeric powder mix all together and apply on whole face. Leave to work and dry for 15-20 minutes, after then wash of smoothly by tapping some water on face and rubbing in a circular motion from there completely wash the face. Once washed tap dry with towel.

WITCHAZEL is a great, natural toner that you can use as much as you need throughout the day to cut down on oil, and it won't dry out the rest of your face.

Check ALL of your personal & beauty products for these toxins, which could be aging, drying and harming your skin and overall health:

(CETAPHIL & NEUTROGENA facial washes both contain many of these toxins)

    Hope this helps! Good Luck!!!

Use a quality face wash - proactive or similar quality would probably be best. Just get the best quality you can. Use about 2-3 times daily (closer to two; use more often when your skin is oily and less when your skin drying out and delicate).

Use a combination of both moisturizer and regular lotion. Mostly use moisturizer, but when it feels like your face needs some oil (the oil in lotion does help your skin - it nourishes it and helps it to repair itself) use the lotion. Use the lotion sparingly, but use it sometimes - this will help to relieve your dry skin which the moisturizer will not do to an adequate extent by itself.

Drink more water and get more aerobic exercise (jogging) too.

Cetaphil is fantastic! It's dye-free and scent-free. Try using the face wash for "normal to oily skin". It will help remove the oil without drying out the skin.
Also try their moisturizer. It's oil-free but still adds alot of moisture to the dry patches.
Also, it's really cheap and easy to find.

My dermatologist recommended it to me, I had the exact same problem.
