How to Get Rid of Wrinkles & Bags Under the Eyes
Â
Getting rid of wrinkles and bags under the eyes is very possible with a wrinkle reducing eye cream. Unfortunately, many on the market don’t work.  But some do. Finding the right eye cream/gel is what we have done. Also here are some tips on eye wrinkle prevention.
There are also some steps that anyone can take for prevention. Itâs a good idea to combine the 3 preventative steps with the use of an effective moisturizer. Youâll see the best results that way.Â
In this article, you will learn about those 3 preventative steps. You will also learn which anti-aging ingredients are most effective. Letâs start with prevention.
Step 1 for PreventionâSleep on Your Back
One of the causes of wrinkles between eyes is undue pressure caused by sleeping on your side. If you canât sleep on your back, which isnât unusual, invest in an anti-wrinkle pillow. One of the best ones was developed by an ophthalmologist for her patients recovering from surgery. Only later did she realize that the pillow could help reduce under eye wrinkles and dark circles.Â
Step 2 for Prevention of Wrinkles and Bags under EyesâGet to Bed Early
When you are young, lack of sleep causes wrinkles and bags under eyes, but they usually go away by midday. As you get older, you wonât recover that quickly. Research indicates that sleeping between the hours of midnight and 2 am increases the bodyâs production of human growth hormone, which contributes to cellular rejuvenation and firm skin.Â
Lack of sleep causes increased production of cortisol, a stress hormone that damages and degrades collagen fibers. Those fibers, along with hyaluronic acid, are responsible for the skinâs firmness.
Step 3 for PreventionâDonât Smoke or Squint
Smokers typically have wrinkles between eyes and at the corners of their mouth. The habitual facial expressions that accompany smoking, as well as squinting to keep the smoke out of the eyes play a role in the formation of those lines.Â
Additionally, cigarette smoke causes increased production of free radicals, which are a major cause of all of the signs of aging. If you spend a lot of time in the sun, wear sunglasses. If you canât see well, get an exam and wear glasses or contacts.
Â
For Prevention and ReversalâUse a Good Moisturizer
Wrinkles and bags under eyes are caused by many factors. A good under-eye gel can address many of them, if it contains the right ingredients.
A good nighttime facial moisturizer will help reduce wrinkles between eyes and on other areas of the face, if it contains the right ingredients. Hopefully, the repetition will drive home just how important it is to read the label.Â
Hereâs what to look for in a reducing wrinkles eye cream:
â¢HALOXYLâa patented poly-peptide shown in clinical trials to reduce bags and under eye wrinkles in over 60% of volunteers
â¢EYELISSâa compound containing a unique antioxidant found in blue passion flower, proven to improve fluid circulation and support blood vessel strength
â¢Coenzyme Q10âan antioxidant shown to repair free radical damage caused by sun exposure
Now you know the steps for preventing and repairing wrinkles and bags under eyes.Â

How do I minimize eye-bags and wrinkles under my eyes?
I am a male who will be turning 40 next year. Like everyone, I am experiencing more intense signs of aging than in the past. My concern is the bags and wrinkles under my eyes. The skin became thinner and, especially when I smile or laugh, it forms lots of wrinkles. I was wondering if there are any traditional or non-traditional remedies out there that can be used. Is there anything that I miss in my diet? I drink about 3 beers everyday, is that a contributor too? I am going through a separation also. Is my skin ever going to rejuvenate? I hate to think of Botox or cosmetic surgery, but is that a viable, non-risky solution ultimately? I have been using a non-prescription L’Oreal eye wrinkle-reduction cream for many months now, but it doesn’t seem to help a lot.
