What age is too young to start using a mild over the counter anti-wrinkle cream?
I am in my 30’s. I have some blemishes on my face, some mild wrinkles on my forehead, and some laugh lines. Nothing too serious. Am I too young to start using the over-the-counter anti- wrinkle creams such as Neutrogena Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle cream w/spf?
Someone told me that these products can actually CREATE wrinkles if you use them when you don’t need to.
Can you give me some advice?
It’s never to early to take care of your skin with a good moisturizer and sunscreen.
Anti-aging products like the one you mention use alpha hydroxy acids or AHAs. These are very light exfoliating ingredients. The basically slough off dead skin cells on top of the skin so the skin looks fresher. Over time, they can slow down the formation of wrinkles and laugh lines. Actually the most important anti-aging ingredient is the sunblock - sun damage does more to age skin than anything else. An over-the-counter product can cost less than the expensive creams you find online or in department stores, so I’d say yes - go ahead and use it. It won’t cause wrinkles, it can only help. I wouldn’t put it on at night though - it’s usually best to just sleep with nothing on the face, unless you have really dry skin.
I’d think that 30 was old enough. Try it out, and if it doesn’t work for you, stop using it. If it does, then great!

these creams don’t give you wrinkles at all, just if they are really harsh they can make your skin feel a little sore if its sensitive, 30 is a perfect age because after long-term use, your skin will look flawless.

It’s never really too early. I’m 18 years old and scared of getting wrinkles one day. I’ve been using anti-aging night cream for almost a year.

Nutragenia original anti wrinkle cream really works and is worth the $18 bucks a tube. Its the ONLY one I’ve tried that makes a visible difference. Spread over your entire face and neck morning and before bed.- right after you shower. Forehead wrinkles come from raising your eyebrows a lot. Retrain your self- watch yourself in the mirror and notice when you make a face that makes the wrinkles show- learn to not make that face- or correct it as soon as you do it. Prevention is easier than repair when it comes to wrinkles.
For a real quick fix before a date- after a long day- use normal clear apple cider vinegar. Pour some on a cotton ball till it drips then and wipe over wrinkles- be sure to close eyes if you wipe near them- or they will tear up. go back over wrinkles a second time (skin should remain damp- wait one minute then rinse off with cool water- and magic- you look 10 years younger. Effect will last about 6 hours. note- it smells real bad- but once you rinse it off- All the smell vanishes.
